the campaign to free michael was a resounding success? as i learned in an email forwarded to a political mailing list to which i subscribe, he is believed to be the key to the revolution. (carla has seen this message and can verify.) he is all about love, love, love, the message said. his lyrics expose the evil interests that govern these so-called united states, the message said. michael has been the target of a sustained and slanderous attack precisely because he is a threat (through his goodness) to the powers that be, the message said. and if we all stand behind him, he will guide us to the true revolution, where all people can be free, free, free, the message said.
i cannot wait to see what aaron mcgruder does with this story.

and here it is:
INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE
In State of emergency:…LOve in Need of LOVE…
Peaceful Blessings, Dear All who care to end all merceneries, exploitative politicians of selfishness, partiality, deception of fear, lust, greed, and hatred…
The biased vanity of police brutality are trying hard to destroy another hard-knock worker for Social Justice, Equality, World-Unity, and Human Rights.
Most active in the good works are still asleep to what’s happening with Michael Jackson, because even most who’d normally care are blinded by media and partially judging Michael with uneducated assumptions…. all things heartless and on the surface are creating shadows that hide the truth of who he really is and what really matters within, the great good deeds he has spread throughout the many years, justice, love, equality, unity, beautiful harmony, conscious liberty and vision of Light he has always spread, stood for for so long.
One Has to wonder why the society always worships the dead heroes of Justice when we have a truly great living humanitarian leader like Michael on our side, ….and still the majority still believes the Govenrment Police and media, u could say one cannot underestimate the power of demons!!!…
(Can we forget how our own state of indifference killed Mahatma Gandhi, Martin L. King, Malcom X, John Lennon, Jesus Christ???…)
…By God, I pray let truth reveal Michael has stood for nothing but Love, giving, caring and compassion, purity, faith and togetherness, inner strength and warriorship for all peoples rights, yesterday, today, and the future, throughout the entire world, with heart and Soul spreading wider than most…
To listen to the song he wrote and sang with a all stars for the victims of 9-11 that Sony refused to release, does’t that alone show for intensions of the corporate government more interested in war than peace and justice?….
“How many people will have to die before we take a stand, how many children will have to cry before we do what we can? if sending your love is all you can give to help one live? How many times can we turn our heads and pretend we cannot see? Healing the wounds of our broken earth, we’re one global family,…just sending your prayers is something you feel helping one heal,…what have I got that I can give?….”
…Dear family of God in the heart, all these accusations are media, police and corporate government LIES LIES LIES…
Against their will, Michael has stood for Peace and Humanity all his life, this is why they wanna bring him down, this is so crucial, please please do realize!! MICHAEL JACKSON IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO THE WICKED BABYLON SYSTEM !! Why doesn’t anyone talk about it??? Without a doubt I have all the clues that will prove these accusations are nothing but greedy racist conspiracy of corrupt Corporate System schemes to destroy with selfish agendas,
Michael is and always been KEY to the door of our Revolution, all !!! PLEASE PLEASE WILL U SPREAD THE WORD, SPREAD THE TRUTH, SEND YOUR PRAYERS, STAND UP FOR JUSTICE?
A Prayer for Peace:
A prayer for GOD to lead us eradicate all the misery in the world:
that understanding triumph over ignorance,
that generosity triumph over indifference,
that trust triumph over contempt, and
that truth triumph over falsehood.
………………………………………………
I feel a need a need to speak, many come to defeat, I went up to the mountain of Zion, the Creator put these words in my mind,… I REFUSE TO BE SILENT …
A silent tongue is never heard We come to support Michael Jackson* We come to support Michael Jackson…
We shall not be moved of all the negative media…
We have have had enough of u putting out all these negative rumors
HEy HEy hypocricy never was a friend of mine u commercialize to victimize deceiving minds hoping u can capitalize
Lies Lies,
Speak the truth Sound like babbling fools
America is supposed to be the land of milk and honey
Of all flowing in Equality
Michael Jackson should be treated in dignity,
He is a part of humanity of flesh and blood like u and me
In 1958 MJ was given in birth born with a purpose and plan
Stop trying to destroy this man
Many stars in the galaxy bring him down because of jealousy
He worked hard for his destiny
He have lived to give
Love that will never die
When u try its for u and I
U u need to stop being greedy
Using michael as a commodity
Trying to sell your philosophy
I dont know how u see
Speak with a tongue of perfection
All thoughts of confusion
Stop contributing to society taking advantage of democracy
We come to support Michael Jackson…
“Michael” Lyrics by Tracee Reynaud

Speculate to break the one you hate
Circulate the lie you confiscate
Assassinate and mutilate As the hounding media in hysteria
Who’s the next for you to resurrect
JFK exposed the CIA
Truth be told the grassy knoll As the blackmail story in all your glory
It’s slander You say it’s not a sword But with your pen you torture men
You’d crucify the Lord
And you don’t have to read it, read it And you don’t have to eat it, To buy it is to feed it, feed it
So why do we keep foolin’ ourselves Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual
Though everybody wants to read all about it Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual, actual
They say he’s homosexual
In the hood Frame him if you could Shoot to kill To blame him if you will If he dies sympathize Such false witnesses Damn self righteousness In the black Stab me in the back In the face To lie and shame the race Heroine and Marilyn As the headline stories of All your glory
It’s slander With the words you use You’re a parasite in black and white Do anything for news And you don’t go and buy it, buy it, And they won’t glorify it, ‘fy it To read it sanctifies it, ‘fies it Then why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual Everybody wants to read all about it Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual See, but everybody wants to believe all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual See, but everybody wants to believe all about it Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual, actual
She’s blonde and she’s bisexual
Scandal With the words you use You’re a parasite in black and white Do anything for news And you don’t go and buy it, buy it And they won’t glorify it, ‘fy it To read it sanctifies it,
Why do we keep foolin’ ourselves Slander You say it’s not a sin But with your pen you torture men Then why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual Though everybody wants to read all about it Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual See, but everybody wants to read all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual
Just because you read it in a magazine Or see it on the TV screen Don’t make it factual,
actual
You’re so dam disrespectable

What about sunrise?
What about rain?
about all the things That you said we were to gain…?
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things That you said was yours and mine… ?
Did you ever stop to notice All the blood we’ve shed before?
Did you ever stop to notice The crying Earth the weeping shores?
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
What have we done to the world? Look what we’ve done?
What about all the Peace That you pledge your only son… ?
What about flowering fields Is there a time?
What about all the dreams That you said was yours and mine…?
Did you ever stop to notice All the children dead from war? Did you ever stop to notice The crying Earth the weeping shores?
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
I used to dream, I used to glance beyond the stars,
Now I don’t know where we are, Although I know we’ve drifted far
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Hey, what about yesterday? (What about us?)
What about the seas? (What about us?)
The heavens are falling down (What about us?)
I can’t even breathe (What about us?)
What about the bleeding Earth (What about us?)
Can’t we feel its wounds (What about us?)
What about nature’s worth (ooo, ooo) It’s our planet’s womb (What about us?)
What about animals (What about it?) We’ve turned kingdoms to dust (What about us?)
What about elephants (What about us?) Have we lost their trust (What about us?)
What about crying whales (What about us?) We’re ravaging the seas (What about us?)
What about forest trails (ooo, ooo) Burnt despite our pleas (What about us?)
What about the holy land (What about it?) Torn apart by creed (What about us?)
What about the common man (What about us?) Can’t we set him free (What about us?)
What about children dying (What about us?) Can’t you hear them cry (What about us?)
Where did we go wrong? (ooo, ooo) Someone tell me why (What about us?)
What about babies? (What about it?) What about the days (What about us?)
What about all their joy? (What about us?) What about the man (What about us?)
What about the crying man? (What about us?) What about Abraham (What was us?)
What about death again? (ooo, ooo) Do we give a dam??

I don’t even know where to start with that email. Wow. I feel like I’ve stepped into some kind of Superman Bizarro world.
I’m you come across what McGruder comes up with when he does, please fill us in.

as happy as i was to witness michael jackson’s victory, i found myself near tears, thinking his nightmare never should have played out in the first place.
a lawyer friend of mine, who loves michael jackson & respects his work (& everything he represents) as much i do, thinks he should stick a middle finger up at all those who wronged him, pack up his things & move himself & his family out of the united states. start fresh. be free.
o, & carla … how heavy is his michael’s other song, STRANGER IN MOSCOW? that, along with the gorgeous, WILL YOU BE THERE, WHAT ABOUT US, & EARTH SONG, are among my favorites!
ani difranco’s ANIMAL — off her grossly underated album, EDUCATED GUESS — is also crucial music.

i think my friend adrienne expressed it best:
i think the whole story is so awful that we all enter into it in different ways. michael’s dad is so awful, and his trauma is so real. that doesn’t excuse the fucked up way he’s been conducting himself. but everyone responds to the story in very personalized ways.
while prison is not the right place for him (or anyone at all), he should probably be given a quiet “alone” place away from family and everyone else,
some place where he can get some real support. his life and the trial and everything are such a freak show that none of the seriousness of anything
related to him registers anymore.
June 13th, 2005 @ 10:12 pm
The sentiments that you (and Adrienne) expressed are so completely right on in my book. I couldn’t agree with you more. There’s so much emotional damage all the way around in this story. Here’s hoping that some healing is able to shine through.

ya’ll know what? i agree.

McGruder has been talking about Michael all week. The series starts here:

I think you are right Carla. The brother needs a rest — and a really good therapist.

Thanks for the McGruder link, Professor Kim. I’ve been anxious to see what he would do.
