20 covers, 3.5 Africans

Sigh.
Is this the best we can do? What about environmentalist and Nobel Prize laureate Wangari Maathai; or even Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the first woman president of Liberia? Why is the West still insisting on defining Africa? Can Western audiences still not grasp the idea of a continent of self-ruled people?

Carla, do you know where one can see all the covers? Shame on Vanity Fair.
I'm really trying to sing new slave songs but the old ones just keep cropping up. When I have the vapors, nobody pays any attention.
